YES WE DID!
When we walked into the polling place this morning, Lucy looked around and said, "where's Barack Obama?" She was disappointed she didn't get to meet him when we voted! Apparently, at 2 and 1/4 years, she doesn't QUITE understand everything about our electoral process. Especially the whole electoral college thing...we just can't get her to understand why the popular vote isn't good enough. ; )
Between voting this morning at a polling place that was 10 times more crowded than usual, to mama canvassing in Iowa this afternoon, to celebrating election returns at a party at Ruby's house, it has been a great day. History was made, hope was restored, and the work has only begun. God Bless America.
