Halloween didn't turn out quite as planned, given our last minute travel to Utah for Uncle Tommy's funeral. Out of that terrible reason for travel, of course, came the very good benefit of spending some special time with family. Here's Lucy and Gavin getting some bonding time in at home on the beanbag.
And with their mamas (and Nathan taking the picture) at the petting zoo.
Instead of trick or treating in the neighborhood, we trick or treated with cousins in Aunt Mari's neighborhood in small town Utah.
And Lucy also got to snuggle with godcousin Katie.
Finally, we couldn't let the season fade completely without letting Lucy show off the tattoos she was so proud of.

that's the cutest elmo i ever did see.
I am concerned that Elmo was carrying his own head around and filling it with candy...lol...Seriously though, love the pics. Kids in costumes...ridiculously cute!
Yeah--the elmo head basket turned out to be a little creepy. It seemed a natural (if impulsive) purchase when I saw it at Kohls. I didn't really think of the implications until Lucy already loved it, so...
I love the pictures of Gavin with Lucy and the Lucy tattoo. I agree that halloween was a bit subdued due to the circumstances but I think Tom would have wanted all the kids to have a good time.
He was the ultimate halloween costume guy and must have been laughing as we all assembled for his viewing on halloween night.
Love,
Dad
