Vowing not to be outdone by the Aunties, a few Uncles and another Auntie in Lucy's life have stepped up to challenge the previous Aunties' photographic dominance and claim to maximum cuteness. Sheri's brother Dave and his girlfriend Susie visited this past weekend to meet our Lucy. As you can see from the photos, a good time was had by all.
In addition to out of town visitors, several of our friends from Omaha have stopped by to snuggle with Lucy. In the lead for quantity of visits is our good friend, Chad, who has been named an honorary Uncle. Luckily for us, he's an experienced babysitter AND he loves little Lucy. We'll definitely be taking advantage of his friendship and expertise in the future.
So, with all these visiting Aunties and Uncles from Sheri's family and from our circle of friends, the race is on...who will be the first person from Nathan's family to introduce Lucy to her Alabama roots? The guest room and our slightly less humid summer weather await you!

Unfortunately, you will have to wait to meet your eldest 1st cousin until you make your way down south to Alabama. And who knows, by that time, you might be able to meet the newest member of the Alabama gang when your 2nd cousin arrives sometime around the new year. Hopefully I won't have to wait that long, but if it is, just know that everyone here loves you and can't wait to get our hands on you!

I promise to do my best to introduce little Lucy to southern culture and be sure she hears our pretty accents. Having Nathan so close makes my stay in the midwest more bearable. I miss sweet tea and fall and the pretty twang of a southern drawl.
We look forward to seeing her after our trip to NC. Oh yeah, and her parents too. :)
