Happy 2 week birthday, Lucy!

It's hard to believe how the past two weeks have flown by as we've been doing the work of learning to be Lucy's parents. She's training us to hold her and rock her a lot and to not even THINK of putting her down in her crib when she naps during the day. She has started to notice and follow moving objects with her eyes (like a toy, or her mobile, or Sojo walking by). She's also trying REALLY hard to suck on her fingers, but isn't quite coordinated to be able to sustain this for very long. She's also coming to enjoy her swing, riding around in the snugli, and nighttime baths and baby massages. The pics above are all from this morning (her two week birthday), and at the risk of her being mortified about this when she's 13, here's a picture of last night's after bath baby massage:

She has such big pretty eyes!

Not that I would lapse into the sexist habits of commenting only on the physical beauty of this lovely little woman and overlook her obvious intelligence or strong work ethic. Tracking objects at two weeks is pretty high achieving behavior.

Dear Mr. P,
At least you commented on her eyes and not her booty!

Lucy
OK.....Aunt Nette here

I am surprised that your daddy would publish such a private picture of you on the internet...in the yearbook your senior year? Yes, I could see him threatening that because we threatened him too! (By the way, Nanny has a lot of pictures that she will give you to retaliate when you are a little older.

May we should publish a picture of dad that Nanny has so we can compare booties!

Love you Beautiful Little One!
