Toddler Dinner Party

It was a wonderful day in Lucyland. Girlfriend slept in until 7:15, ate daddy's pancakes, watched TV, got 2 new pairs of shoes, and took a nap in her big girl bed. The day was great, but our night was even better. Lucy Anne had Ruby and Lucy and their parents over for dinner. The girls had their own little table, complete with Halloween place settings and a toddler-sized vase of flowers.

Lucy Anne helped mama set the table for her friends, and while we waited for everyone to arrive we practiced saying things like, "Thanks for coming over, would you like to play in my room?" and "Would you like to have a cracker?" Once everyone arrived, Lucy Anne forgot her manners a few times and needed some coaching. In one hilarious moment, Lucy Anne was offering Lucy a cracker. By the time Lucy Anne finally got around to saying, "would you like to have a cracker, Lucy?" Lucy looked down at the cracker in her hand and deadpanned, "I already have a cracker."

The girls (mostly) played well together and all the grownups did, too. A great time was had by all and we hope we can get the whole crew together again very soon. We are very thankful to get to enjoy October this year and hope that fall is treating you well, too.

No comments does not mean no looks! I check at least once a day for smiling purposes.

The girls are terrific to see--makes me want to clink glasses...

Cheers!
