Lucy, meet Macey
This past Friday evening, Lucy was surprised to find out that our very good friend "Uncle Chad" really IS an uncle. His adorable niece Macey (and her people) were visiting him from Texas and we got to go out to dinner. Chad is the most adoring uncle around, and we've seen lots of pictures and heard lots of Macey stories in the past year. But she's even cuter and more sweet in person. Despite a long wait at dinner and somewhat slow service, both girls were really good. As we were walking to our car, Lucy said, "I want to visit with them some more, okay? When I wake up in the morning, they be here, okay?" When we explained that they were going home tomorrow and she wouldn't see them, she said, "I miss Macey."

Luckily we thought of a diversion so Lucy's weekend wasn't wasted pining away for Macey. Mama and Lucy took Daddy to the Children's Museum for the first time, which was super fun. Here you can see them driving the "art car" and checking out the baby dinosaurs.

On Sunday, Mama had to teach about stewardship to the children's sunday school (no easy task, let me tell you!) and Lucy enjoyed going to the nursery during church for the first time. It felt strange sitting in the pew without her, but we enjoyed getting to pay attention to the whole service!

I am digging that tattoo on Lucy's arm. And I think that picture in the car is foreshadowing...for when she is 15 and learning to drive. Oh, my! :-)

Love to you all.

It is so great to meet Macey in the photos and know that Chad is really Uncle Chad after all!
