TWO Grandmas are better than ONE
We were very lucky this weekend to have some special guests. Great Grandma Nola and Great Grandpa George from Idaho and Aunt Karen from Utah made a long drive to see us and attend Grandpa's WWII reunion in the area. Grandma and Grandpa drove down for the weekend from Minnesota, as well. As you can see, Lucy had a great time playing dressups with the Grandmas in her bedroom...

...and also playing dressups at the Mormon Pioneers Winter Quarters Visitors Center in Omaha. Lucy got to try her hand at operating a heavy push cart, climb into a ship bunk, and look inside a replica of the pioneers' cabins. And to top it all off, she got a sticker at the end. What a great tour!

As Lucy said this morning, "that was fun with Nola Grandma and Grandpa George, just like Curious George!" We all had a great time visiting with them (who, incidentally, got married 65 years ago in Nebraska when Grandpa was in the service). Nathan and Sheri only have 57 more to go to catch up!

What a fun visit! Too bad the drive isn't 3 hours instead of 6.
Love,
Dad
