The Great Cousin Sleepover

Sheri's cousin Rich and his kids Amanda, Jake, and Sophie swung through Omaha for a few days on their way to visit Grandma Shirley and the others in Minnesota. Rich opted to stay at a hotel for a couple of days, while the kids crashed at the House of Lucy.

These are just about the nicest and sweetest tweens and teens ever, and all of us enjoyed their stay. We had fun at the zoo, going out to dinner and ice cream in Old Market, grilling at our house, and just hanging out.
The cousins were very hands on with Lucy, reading to her, playing blocks, shaking their sillies out (see left), and helping with the bath. They even all followed "nakey girl" into the bathroom to wait and then cheer when she pee-peed in the potty chair. Lucy quite enjoyed her audience. Jacob slept in the daybed in Lucy's room and didn't even stir when she woke up in the night. Hopefully he'll be a lighter sleeper before he has kids of his own!

Bye bye cousins! We love you and hope we can see you again soon.
