We don't go for the 9 month appointment with all the weighing and measuring until next week, so we're holding off buying her next stash of spring/summer clothing until then so we know what sizes to anticipate! Our guess is that she's easily 20+ lbs. We'll keep you posted!

999nine999?!?!?
We know it's a cliche to say "time flies," but it does! Nine months seems to be a pretty significant milestone for some reason--maybe because of its connection to pregnancy. It's hard to believe that we've known Lucy about as long on the outside as Sheri carried her around on the inside. The memories of being pregnant and waiting for Lucy to get here are still pretty fresh. We still feel like brand new parents just figuring this whole childrearing gig out. Then we see a bleary-eyed couple at Target buying newborn sized diapers with their 6 week old in the infant carrier and suddenly we feel like veterans with our cart full of size 3s. We remember how we used to be grateful for 4 hours straight of sleep and now we're grumpy if we don't get at least a 6 hour stretch (and 8 is best).
As shown at left, Lucy is a master block knocker. She will not tolerate a block tower--IT MUST BE TOPPLED. Immediately. It's our #1 technique to encourage mobility. Here, we intended for her to have to go from bum to hands and knees to get to this tower, but she's obviously outsmarted us. "I can knock this puny tower down with one tiny finger," she's thinking...
