Lucy's new tricks are waving, saying "uh oh", eating half her body weight in cheerios one at a time, and scootching forward on her belly. Her current m.o. is to get up on hands and knees and rock back and forth, maybe take one crawl-like stride, and then flop on her belly. From there, she's pretty fast at getting around with a combo of scootching and rolling. We now vacuum the living room floor about every 2-3 days because she can find the tiniest pieces of dirt and get them in her mouth SOOO fast! Below is a shot of her scootching from the living room to the hall toward her bedroom.
We failed to post this after last weekend, but here's Lucy with our friend Brooke on St. Patty's Day. Not only is she wearing green, she's wearing an "Ireland" t-shirt given to her by another friend, Nainsi. While the adults enjoyed all manner of green food and cocktails, Lucy stuck to mashed green peas. Yum!
Finally, here's one of our first visits to the park since it suddenly became spring. We try to have an outing to one of our nearby parks each night after dinner, as long as it's not raining.
Lucy just giggles and giggles when we push her on the swing. We hope that whatever you are doing these days, life is at least this much fun. If it isn't, Lucy suggests taking a trip to the park!

You gotta love that picture. The girl was clearly deliriously happy, drunk on godmama love--times 2! Of course, we were pretty excited about spending time with Lucy. What a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for everything, parents...
