Fall comes to the midlands
We went on a little roadtrip this past weekend to visit with Lucy's Godmothers Boo & Lori in Lawrence, Kansas. Here's Lucy and Dad at a rest stop in Missouri along the way. Lawrence is a 3 hour drive without a baby, and about 3.5 to 4 hours with one (depending on naps and diaper needs). It was wonderful to be with friends who provide adult conversation and homecooking and Lucy was a pretty good houseguest.

It was a gorgeous weekend in Lawrence and on Saturday the 5 of us had lunch on Mass Street and then strolled around to some of Sheri's old college and grad school haunts. Here's Dad and Lucy after the girl's first visit to the best candle store ever. Unfortunately, we had a camera problem so we're a little low on pictures and ended up with none of Boo & Lori. Oops. Hopefully Lucy will be more receptive to the lure of the Jayhawk when she gets a little older...
