Mother's Day at the S-M House

"Hmmmm... I wonder what we should do for Mama for Mother's day. " Lucy had been pondering that very question for some time. Flowers were so last year, balloons seemed to be a good choice but Daddy is always sucking the helium out and talking like Donald Duck. That was funny the first couple of times but it got old pretty quick, and then there was the whole 'Daddy getting light headed and passing out incident' on his birthday. That would ruin Mama's day. Maybe just a good breakfast and a nice gift certificate. French toast and a spa day.

Later, after Mama and Daddy read the paper and Lucy watched Raffi for a while, everybody put on nice clothes and got ready for church. Mama and Lucy had pretty new dresses to wear on a warm spring Sunday. Daddy wore khakis and white shirt, same as every other day. We took this picture outside in front of Pop's tree. It is really growing and it makes us think of Pop when we look at it.

After church and some lunch, it was time for a nap. Daddy said he'd like to take one too but he decided to work in the yard instead. After the nap, Lucy got to go outside too and help Mama plant some flowers. Finding an earthworm and getting to hold it was the most exciting thing ever. Mama is so koolest Mama ever, she reads books, plants flowers and shares her Indian food with Lucy. Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikka Masala with rice for dinner. Yum!

Mother's Day was lots of fun around our House. Hope yours was great too.

Love,
Lucy
