Lucy and parents drove up to Minnesota this past weekend and had a great time. Lucy's now at the point where she can tell stories about what she's experienced, which is really fun. She has lots of stories about the weekend--seeing Grandma and Grandpa was great ("Lucy go to Grandma and Grandpa's house!"), and visiting Grandma Shirley in the hospital was nice ("Grandma Shirley lying down in bed eating her dinner").
But the best stories have to do with Dave and Susie's new puppy, Callie ("Callie lick Lucy fingers!" and "Lucy pet a puppy, gentle!").
And, oh yeah, it was nice to see "Uncle Susie" and "Uncle David," too. We're still doing some fine tuning on details like "uncle" vs. "aunt." In other vocab developments, Lucy has added, "oh, darn it!" to her repertoire. And to that, daddy said, "phew!"
