In other news, Lucy and parents had a great weekend with Geema and Bapa in town. The Grandparents babysat on Saturday morning while Mama and Daddy went to caucus to help Lucy's presidential pick win Nebraska handily. We had a nice visit with plenty of house projects thrown in for good measure. You can click on these pics to make them bigger, if you like. Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day from Lucy!
Lucy is all prepared to celebrate love with enough red and/or heart decor outfits to last all week long. This will be her first year exchanging valentines at school and she's going to be handing out cards decorated with kitties and puppies and mini M&Ms. She probably won't be signing her own name, but she can at least color on the valentines with markers. : )

She is our favorite Valentine, that's for sure!
The Godmamas of Kansas!
Just a few things to add: Lucy is now saying Grandma and Grandpa(along with 1000 other words) so the cute Bapa and Geema can be retired. This is amazing for a 19 month old but then her parents are pretty amzing also.
Second, you didn't mention that Lucy ate 5 valentine cookies that Grandma made. When Grandma told her it was the last cookie she ate it as usual and then asked "2 cookies?" She not only knows all her colors (maybe not beige or mauve)she can count to 20 (although after 17 it is an adventure).
Lastly, her vocabulary and ability to repeat is incredible! Hello Grandma, Hello Harper and Hello Sojo are daily events. You definitely do not want to say sh*t or anything else if you don't want to hear it later in the day.
Love,
A proud Grandpa
Lucy is Grandma's sweetheart!
Avery has that same shirt! So cute! So good to see you all happy and healthy again. L,mary
