Lucy and fans had a wonderful labor day weekend. We had a really nice visit with Bapa and Gmama (she finally said "Grandma"), Lucy had her first Japanese food, we went to lots of parks, Nathan and Sheri went to a movie, and we capped off the weekend with the labor day parade in downtown Omaha. Above, Lucy tries her first sushi (the kind with only cucumber inside).

Lucy's first chopsticks!

Can you believe these are the grandparents? Look how young and fun they are! Gmama even slid down slides with Lucy.

That's one big dog! The balloons in the parade and the marching bands were Lucy's favorites. When Lucy got up from her nap after Bapa and Gmama had left to head home, she kept asking for them. Hopefully they will be back to visit soon!

Okay, Lucy fans! I've been holding off on making a comment on the smartest, cutest, sweetest girl I know so that one of her other many fans could "go first," but, I cannot see these pics one more time without saying,
Gee, I love having Lucy in my life! Thanks for sharing, mom & dad!

PS: Bapa and Gmama are cute as can be too! :)
Bapa and Gmama are the proudest old folks around and feeling younger(and older)every time we spend time with our little bundle of engergy and joy (and also with Sheri and Nathan, of course)! When was the last time you saw a grandma going down a slide in a kids playground?
Love,
Bapa
I love new pictures, everyone looks so happy! Especially Susie, since Lucy can now say "Gmama".

Yay! Lucy likes sushi! Did she recognize it from her sushi book?
Adorable pics as always. Bapa and Gmama couldn't look happier :) Lucy is one lucky kiddo to have so many doting grownups in awe of her every move (including those of us in blogland!)
Looks like you all had a grand long weekend - thanks for sharing the pics!
Love,

We did bring the sushi book (thanks Laura & Will) with us to let Lucy choose her menu items, but she didn't need it. Lucy is an adventurous eater and loved the sushi and also the sukiayaki noodles. I can't wait to show my Japanese friends!
Love, Gmama
