Lucy has been cracking us up lately, so we thought we'd share a few of the best incidents in the past few days.
This morning, we were unpacking her school bag so we could wash her naptime bedlinens. She pulled the quilt out, and Sheri asked, "what else is in your bag from school?" She looked in the bag and then said, "Yi-yi" (Eli, her favorite school friend). Then we all laughed and Nathan said, "well, you better let him out so we can give him some breakfast!"
When driving in the car with mama, Lucy was drinking from a sippy cup of water in the backseat. She threw the sippy cup on the floor (nothing unusual here), then said, "wa-wa uh-oh mama."
At dinner last week, Nathan belched. Lucy said, "Daddy! Uh-oh" and then followed with a fake burp sound.
Tonight, when coming home from a party, we could see the moon and reminded Lucy about her book, Goodnight Moon. She then said, "nigh-nigh moo" over and over all the way home. Guess what book we read before bed?
The pics are from our visit to the children's garden at the botanical garden this afternoon. We have been members there for a couple of years, but had never even wandered over to the children's garden before. Turned out to be a fantastic way to spend an hour and now it's our new favorite spot.
