School!

Today was picture day, so mama took the opportunity to take the camera and snap a few action shots. Not the best lighting, but as soon as we got to school and I set her down, Lucy and Sarah took off crawling for the sunny "gross motor room." Then Lucy pulled up on this red stair thing and stayed there for 10 or 15 minutes until Miss Jean had to drag her off (crying) to pose for the group shot. Right now there are 9 kids in Lucy's class. Ari's in the green dress, Sarah's in the pink t-shirt, and Michael is in the plaid shorts.

Lucy loves her school and we do, too. Her teachers are caring and competent and the other kids are fun to hang with. It's in an old mansion and the infants (up to 18 months) have basically half of the first floor. Tons more room to crawl around than we have at home and also more cool toys and equipment to play with. These days, as soon as we get Lucy dressed in the morning and she can see that we're getting ready to leave, she starts giggling and waving bye bye. And this morning she pretty much ignored mama there in the classroom taking pictures. No signs of separation anxiety yet... She has her own little world and life there that we're not a part of, which is both strange and nice.
