Sporting a cute new outfit, Lucy spent her 8 month birthday doing some of the things she does best. First of all, she is now a very busy girl. Sitting still is not her bag, and she has mastered the lunge move to get her from bum to belly, as these pictures show.
Supposedly, this set of moves is a precursor to crawling. For Lucy, it's simply a less painful way to get into rolling position than her old method of just leaning to one side until she falls and bonks her head on the floor. No birthday cake today, but she did try a new food (plain organic yogurt, which got the YUCK! face). Paper, on the other hand, is delicious.
Finally, to round out a day filled with favorite things, Lucy snuggled with Dad and played tickle with Mom.
Who would have thought that 8 months could go so quickly! ? And while 8 months seems like a lot for Lucy, we're all looking forward to celebrating Grandpa Al's 720th month next week in Minnesota. Stay tuned for pics of THAT big event!

Given that I haven't seen her in about half her life, I can't get over how much I just love the girl...
Can't wait to be there later in the month. It'll be good to be in all of ya'll's respective companies.
