Can you believe Lucy's already over 5 months old? This shot is a combo of the things she does best--play with her feet and chew on things.
Dad and Lucy did GREAT during the weekend that mom was out of town at the conference, and Mom survived as well. She was back 2 days and then we flew off to Thanksgiving in Minnesota with Sheri's family. The plane ride was short and easy and we didn't get thrown off the plane for nursing (apparently the Northwest Airlines flight crew has better training than Freedom/Delta)!
For some photographic documentation of the family fun...here's Lucy with the newly fianced Susie and Dave, enjoying some lap time with Uncle Russ, and palling around with the familiar Auntie Angel:

Lucy enjoyed hanging with the fam and her first bite of mashed potatoes. Grandma, Grandpa, Angel, and Russ babysat one night while Mom and Dad went to their first movie since the weekend before Lucy was born (and it was a great one--we highly recommend putting "Stranger than Fiction" on your list). It wouldn't have really mattered if the movie was terrible, it was just nice to see one together. Below, SM3 relax after the feast:
Other recent happenings include rapid fire rolling in all directions, a bit more willingness to swallow rice cereal, attending the "Christmas at Creighton" tree lighting ceremony, and backsliding to about 4 week old behavior by waking up 2 or more times a night. Coming up this week is a 6 day return visit from Nanny, a quick weekend visit from Grandma Sue and Grandpa Al, and Lucy's first visit with Santa. We hope your December is shaping up well, wherever you are!
