At 6 1/2 weeks, Lucy's smile is coming out more and more BUT she seems to be shy with the grins when the camera is pointing at her. The only way to capture a smile is to have a third person sneaking the pictures. Here she is in a good mood on Daddy's lap.

And here she is in her pretty dress going to church for the first time--as you can see she's looking forward to it. Mama and Daddy didn't get much out of the service because they had to trade off taking her out the back door. So while she didn't experience the sanctuary very much, she got great tour of the facilities. She really enjoyed the closing hymn and also being fawned over by church friends meeting her for the first time.

This is one of the more pleasant "what the heck are you doing?" expressions that come out when she sees the camera. Usually her favorite expression when faced with the camera pointing at her is more pissed/dazed, as if she's saying, "what is that scary thing you keep doing...and WHY AREN'T YOU HOLDING ME?!?!"

Clearly, mom knows how to smile for the camera!

It's been a good week--Lucy (a.k.a. "'lil chunker") weighed in at 11 lbs, 11 oz at 6 weeks, she slept 8 hours a couple of nights, and mom managed to get out and get a hair cut. We had a nice relaxed weekend--our first weekend sans visitors since Lucy's birth. It was nice, but we missed the extra hands and company! Luckily, Lucy will get to meet her Nanny when Nathan's mom arrives on Thursday. This is also the last week before school starts, so Mom and Lucy are going to try to enjoy the time together before life suddenly gets more hectic.

Cute pictures of Lucy (wearing the dress Auntie Angel gave her) She's definitely a Shuler, because she obviously likes to eat! Love you
