Names names names...

We've settled on Lucy's full name and thought people might like to know what we decided! Despite all the creative, insightful, and hilarious suggestions from Will and Jerry (see the comments on the "what's in a name" entry below), we've decided to go with something a bit more conventional. Her full name will be Lucy Anne S**-M**. We decided this a couple of weeks ago and have lived with the idea and we still like it, so we're going to make it an officially decided issue. We thought about using one of our names as a middle and the other as a last name, but we worried that one of us would get left out in that scenario. This way, it's easy to tell that we all belong together as a family. Call us old-fashioned. ; ) We sort of informally call ourselves the S**-M** anyway, and will probably do that more often after she comes along. So for all of you who were planning to get sterling silver hairbrushes or baby spoons monogrammed (and I'm sure that includes a lot of you), now you know her full initials are LAS.
