Spring Break Road Trip

We had a grand adventure over spring break, driving about 18 hours each way to see Nathan's family in Alabama. We had a wonderful visit, spending time with nearly every family member. Lucy loved playing with her cousins (cousin Emily is featured here) and spending time with her her aunts and uncles. And, of course, NANNY! Those two got lots of good snuggling time in four days.

Emily showed Lucy how to climb the tree in Nanny's yard, and the two girls had lots of fun goofing around together.

The weather varied a lot when we were there. After our brutal winter, it was really nice not to wear coats. And a few days were nice enough for short sleeve shirts and Lucy even sported a skort one day! Of course, the day we reserved for going to the beach was cold and rainy...but we managed to dash under a pavilion and look out at the beach, at least.

Nanny went with us to the Mobile Exploreum one day, and we all had fun checking out the dinosaur exhibit.

It seems that traffic and comments on the blog are way down since everyone has started using facebook. Fewer comments and slower traffic lead to fewer posts, which I'm sure leads to less interest from readers. We're kind of wondering if the blog has outlived its usefulness, and are thinking that maybe we'll stop posting once Lucy turns 4. When she was tiny, she was doing new things every other day. But frankly, she's reached a phase now where she just doesn't change that quickly and it's hard to think of what to post here. It has been a good substitute for a journal or scrapbook, and perhaps its worth keeping up just for that. Any thoughts on the future of the blog, friends and family?
