SPRING!

Okay, just kidding. So, it was only spring indoors at the Omaha botanical garden.

But we loaded up the babies (that's Glinda in the stroller and Angel in the backpack) and headed to the indoor flower show to give our winter weary souls a boost.

These days, reading lessons abound as Lucy practices her sounds and pronounces simple words. She had no problem with "step" and "up" though "caution" needed a lot of help from daddy. We're realizing through Lucy's eager learning to read eyes how many silly and conflicting pronunciation rules English has.

It's supposed to be in the 30s all week, so we're crossing our fingers for lots of melting snow. Though we know we're a few weeks off, we're feeling more hopeful today that crocuses and daffodils will eventually peak out...
