In your Easter bonnet. . .
Lucy and company had a fantastic Easter today. Grandma and Grandpa joined us for the weekend and we all had a lovely day (look further down for a post about the rest of our weekend). Of course, we started Easter morning early with an Easter egg hunt, which Lucy finally fully got into this year.

Shockingly, we were all ready early enough to take some pics outside before leaving for church. As is her custom, Lucy wore one of her dress up hats. Truth be told, Mama gave a little more guidance than usual to help choose one that matched and didn't have stains or tears. It is Easter, after all.

After a truly wonderful service (complete with kites flying in the rafters during the processional and recessional--Lucy's much anticipated favorite part), we went out for a yummy brunch with Ruby and her parents.

We hope that your Easter was filled with the hope and joy of the realization that love and goodness win out in the end.

I'm tired and my brain ain't quite working up to its usual witty-self :)...so, let me just say that I love ya'll and am so grateful to be in the Shuler-Morgan circle...thanks for the pictures and stories.

I'm off to bed after a long but good Easter weekend.

Let me say that we had a great weekend with the Shuler-Morgans! Lucy and her family are great. I wish all of you could have been there to see her watching the kites flying in the church (on the ends of long poles, whipping around in the high ceilings) and the adults, including a few grandpas and grandmas, were also in awe.
Love,
Grandpa

I bet that Easter bonnet had seen an Easter or two before it landed on Lucy's head, but I am sure it never looked better on anyone else! You Easter weekend sounded (and looked) wonderful.
