Lucy says, "Throw the bums out!"

It's been a fantastic week for Lucy girl, who has been talking nonstop about Republican scandals, the Iraq mess, and her hope that Nancy Pelosi would become the new Speaker of the House. In an effort to instill Democratic values in our child early, we made voting a family outing. Truth be told, we didn't really throw any bums out here in Nebraska, but we enjoyed seeing it happen elsewhere. Above, Lucy does her part to help the Democrats take control of the house and senate (and later on she got her first "I voted" sticker)! As you can see, she's thrilled about taking part in the democratic process.

As if that's not enough good news, the weather has been gorgeous here. It was a nice little respite before winter sets in for real. Lucy took advantage of some weekend sun to help us rake the front yard.

And finally, to top it all off, this week Lucy learned a new skill. Better do it while you're young, Lucy!
We're all looking forward to another visit from Grandma Susie and Grandpa Al this coming weekend. For Grandma's birthday on Saturday, Lucy plans to let her hold and rock her as much as she wants.
