IT'S LUCY!!!
After months of suspense, Nathan and I got to see our little girl on screen this morning. Here's the cutest picture, she's looking at us, with her arms both hugging her chest. They looked at a bunch of stuff like her heart and her spine and measured her brain, even pointed out kidneys and bladder. After about 20 minutes of all this stuff, the technician finally took a look at her bottom and we saw that it was Lucy and not Asa! The technician and Dr. both said that everything looks good and normal and also suggested that the due date is maybe June 14th instead of 17th as we thought. It's going to be so nice to use "she" to refer to her instead of "it" and to get used to calling her "Lucy" and to start bonding with a specific person. Plus, now we get to start reading feminist parenting books about how to raise a strong and confident girl in today's world. Just thought you'd like to know our good news... Love, Mama Sheri

Whooo hooo! Congrats on all good news. Is it too early to pre-arrange prom dates for our children? (Yeah, I know we haven't had our ultrasound yet, so we don't know the sex of our child. So?)
I love Lucy! (That show is old enough that it has the potential to be way cool in a retro way by the time she hits high school/college.)

Thanks for introducing Lucy. It sounds like you're enjoying getting to know her.
Looking forward to more photos,
Marysia
I am so happy I feel like crying! Lucy is a beautiful baby and I think she looks just like her Grandma. I am amazed at the details in the ultrasound. What great technology. Sure love the three of you. Mom and Grandma
I love the name Lucy. It was on my list for awhile, too. She's beautiful.
Jerry--I feel pretty sure that Lucy will be the prom companion of choice for many, so I hesitate to lock her in to dating your offspring. But I definitely would agree to pre-arranging Oregon beach playdates...
What great news! Lucy looks so cute in her picture, what a good untrasound.
Lucy will bring so much happines to you and to all of our family. I love her name, as you know.
Love you both,
Auntie M
I'm so excited to have a niece to spoil, cuddle, and tell stories to. I can't wait!!

So exciting! It's fun to now be able to say hi to you and to Lucy (by name) in the hallways on campus.
Thanks for sharing the super news.
