These are some pictures from the day our parents all found out they were going to be grandparents. When we tested positive for the first time, Nathan's mom from Alabama had been visiting us for almost a week. We kept quiet about it for a few days, because Sheri's parents were driving down from Minnesota for the weekend. It was the first time we'd all been together since our wedding in June 2000! We got up Saturday and made breakfast and Sheri asked, "what do you guys think you might be doing in mid June?" Of course, they had no clue. then Nathan said, "well, we were wondering if you might like to become grandparents then." Everyone was happy and excited and that totally changed our conversation topics for the weekend. Later that day we enjoyed the gorgeous October weather while exploring the Omaha Botanical Garden (where these pics were taken). What a nice looking set of grandparents, don't you think?
